WE DID IT!!!!

We can officially celebrate.  We have raised enough money along with the amazing support from Let Them Be Kids and we know have enough money to build our playground.  Good work everyone!!

Now to complete the project we would love to build a gazebo, install benches, make flower beds, a garden and walkways.  So we are not quite there yet but we know that with the support of this amazing community and surround area and the people in it we will achieve all of our goals and be completing this project on September 24 as well.

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!!

See you all on SEPTEMBER 24, 2011 for our build day

Upcoming Events

We all know that it is summertime, even if all we seem to have had is rain, and more rain, and then some more rain, but everyone still has holidays planned and are very busy.  For those of you who are looking at the blog I apologize for not updating more recently but have been very busy myself along with all the other Betterment members.  We continue to have meeting over the summer so that we will be ready for our build day on September 24, 2011.  Some of us dropped by the build day in Alder Flats, which was very informative and proved to be a very valuable trip as we learned a few things to be prepared for.  Thank you to everyone there who spent a few minutes speaking with us.

We still have a jar in the restaurant in Darwell and the Helping Hands are available at the Darwell Store for a donation.  The Betterment will be selling t-shirts all weekend August 12-14 at the Barn Burner and Tractor Pull in Darwell.  We are also hoping to have a display set up showing what the new playground is going to look like.  We will also have order forms available for the bricks that we are selling to help build a pathway in the garden/gazebo area we are hoping to complete.   We will also be out and about on the Fair Weekend August 20-21.

We look forward to seeing you all there and thank you all for your continued support.

Wake-a-Thon

A huge THANK YOU goes out to all who were involved in the wake-a-thon that was held on June 3-4.  This event raised over $1,900.00.  Great job everyone.  Thank you to all of the volunteers because without you we would not be able to hold these events.

Thank you to all who donated:
